1. Using Obils
These terms govern your use of the Obils website and study tools. Read them before creating an account or purchasing a plan. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Obils provides tools for writing, learning, and organizing study work. Questions about the service or these terms can be sent to [email protected].
2. Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have the permission and supervision required by the law that applies to you.
Email signup requires email verification. Google sign-in may require you to complete missing school and phone details before entering your workspace. A profile photo is optional.
Do not impersonate another person or access an account without authorization. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact support promptly.
3. Acceptable use
Use Obils lawfully and responsibly, including following your school or university’s rules on AI assistance, attribution, and academic integrity.
- Do not upload or submit content you do not have permission to use or share.
- Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, payment requirements, usage limits, or access controls.
- Do not disrupt the service, introduce malicious files, scrape private account information, or interfere with other users.
- Do not misrepresent AI-assisted work where your institution or applicable rules require disclosure.
4. Your content
You retain any rights you hold in the notes, assignments, documents, and other material you submit. You are responsible for the content you provide and for having the permissions needed to process it.
You permit Obils and the service providers needed for the features you request to store, transmit, and process your content to operate those features. This includes sending text to an external AI provider when you use the Humanizer, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Keep your own copies of important work. Saving material in your account does not guarantee that the service will be available indefinitely or act as your only backup.
5. AI tools and output
AI-generated or rewritten content may contain mistakes, misleading statements, or material similar to other output. Review and verify results before relying on them or submitting them as academic work.
Obils does not guarantee a particular grade, a detector score, originality, or that rewritten text will pass an AI or plagiarism check. An AI detection result, where that feature is available, is an estimate and should not by itself be treated as proof of misconduct.
Features may be offered as previews or demos while they are being developed. Their available behavior and any applicable limits are described in the interface. A demo result is not a substitute for completed processing.
6. Plans and subscriptions
Obils offers Free, Student, and Student Pro plans. The Free plan permits up to five saved notes and five saved assignments. Archived notes and completed assignments count toward their respective limits. Deleting an item frees a slot; paid plans do not impose these note or assignment count limits. Current prices, allowances, and available features are shown on the Pricing page. Paid subscriptions can use monthly or annual billing; annual subscriptions are billed once for the year, rather than in monthly installments.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically on the billing schedule shown at checkout and in your billing account unless you cancel before renewal. The final checkout total, currency, and applicable taxes are shown by Paddle.
Paid access depends on the subscription and payment status. An unsuccessful payment, cancellation taking effect, pause, or refund may affect access to paid features. A paid plan does not remove its document or daily request limits.
7. Word allowances and additional purchases
Humanizer and AI Detection have separate word allowances and purchased balances. Included word allowances reset at the start of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC, including on annual plans. Unused included monthly words do not roll over. Daily request counts reset at 00:00 UTC.
Additional word packs are one-time purchases for the tool identified at checkout. Purchased words carry over across monthly resets. They do not increase daily request limits or the words allowed in one document, and cannot be transferred between Humanizer and AI Detection.
The application uses the remaining included monthly allowance before purchased words. Purchased word balances are for using the relevant tool; they are not money, subscription credit, or a withdrawable account balance.
Words and access are credited after confirmed payment processing. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, its associated word balance may be adjusted, including where some of those words have already been used.
8. Changing plans or billing frequency
Where available, you can request a plan or billing-frequency change from Pricing. Review the payment preview before confirming: it shows any amount payable now, credit, and the estimated next renewal.
Changes can affect allowances and access as well as billing. Credits or charges depend on the current subscription, unused billing time, and the selected change. A billing credit is distinct from purchased words and is not necessarily paid out as cash.
A change is not complete until confirmed by the payment service and reflected in your account. If a preview expires or relevant billing details change, you may need to review a new preview.
9. Paddle checkout
Paid purchases use checkout provided by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for those transactions. Paddle’s buyer terms and refund policy also apply to your purchase; links are provided below.
Paddle handles payment entry and subscription billing. Obils receives the information needed to identify your purchase, manage your plan, and apply your allowances or word balance. Do not send payment card numbers or card security codes to Obils support.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You can manage or cancel an eligible subscription through Manage billing in Settings, or use Paddle’s buyer support. The cancellation confirmation identifies when it takes effect. A cancellation scheduled for the end of the billing period stops future renewals while the current paid period continues.
Canceling renewal does not by itself request or guarantee a refund. Refunds and applicable withdrawal rights are governed by the purchase terms, Paddle’s refund policy, and mandatory consumer law. These terms do not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
For a purchase or refund question, contact [email protected] or Paddle buyer support at paddle.net. Do not assume unused words or unused subscription time automatically qualify for a refund.
11. Reminders and notifications
Assignment reminders depend on your saved deadlines, reminder time, timezone, and notification preferences. They are supplementary tools; you remain responsible for tracking and meeting deadlines.
Delivery can be delayed or interrupted by service availability, email delivery, browser connectivity, or changed preferences. Optional emails can be disabled in Settings. Verification and account-security messages are handled separately.
12. Availability and account restrictions
Features may be updated, interrupted, or unavailable during maintenance, outages, or changes to external providers. We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free results.
Obils may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, unauthorized activity, security risks, or legal requirements. Contact support if you believe a restriction is a mistake. Any treatment of paid purchases remains subject to applicable purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights.
13. Responsibility and legal rights
You are responsible for how you use the service and for checking content before relying on it. Obils is a study aid and does not provide professional legal, medical, financial, or academic certification.
Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Privacy and third-party services
The Privacy Policy explains how Obils handles account details, study content, AI requests, payments, and privacy choices. Read it alongside these terms.
The Free plan may show advertisements served by third parties such as Google AdSense. Obils does not endorse advertised products or services, and any dealings with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser. Paid plans do not show advertisements.
Google, Paddle, AI providers, and other services you interact with may have their own terms and policies. Those providers control their own services, and their terms do not replace your rights under applicable law.
15. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes may be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate, and any effect on existing purchases remains subject to applicable law.
